IV. Sliders

The slider's function is to engage or disengage the intermeshing elements of the zipper chain at the correct angle to permit assembly and disassembly of the zipper. LCB manufactures four basic types of sliders.

	1. Automatic lock (DA)		2. Semi automatic lock (SAB)

	Slider is designed to automatically lock and cannot slip open accidentally. To engage unlocking, the tape needs to be swung up or down. Ideal for tight fitting garments, ladies wear, trousers and jeans.		A combination of locking and non-locking slider with a special spring lock. The pull is placed downward to lock and placed upward to unlock. Ideal usage is for coveralls, industrial clothing and jeans.

	3. Pin lock (DP)		4. Non lock (N/L)

	Manual locking slider that requires pushing tab in downward position to engage the pin onto the scoops. To release, tab is then pulled upward. Ideal usages are for ladies lightweight garment, jackets and clothing bag.		Slider moves freely up and down the zipper. The design is good for applications which do not require locking in general.
